Voter Helpline App : 2024 Election result

Voter Helpline App

The voter-centric elements that were provided through the mobile app were never convenient for the voters. All of the services could be found on different websites and applications, or they could be accessed physically. The voter was required to either visit the internet or fill out the paper form. In the same way, filing the complaint had been a difficult undertaking. Since all stakeholders can access the material on the ECI main website, it was quite difficult for the average voter to navigate and discover the content.

The Voter Helpline App is a feature-rich application that allows Indian voters to do a number of tasks, including looking up their name on the electoral roll, submitting forms for voter registration and modification, downloading voter slips with their digital photos, filing complaints, learning more about the candidates running for office, and—most importantly—viewing the election results in real time.19 Million (1.9 Crore) users used the Voter Helpline Mobile Application to search their names in the Electoral Roll till date.

The app provides following facilities to Indian voters:

  •  Search the electoral roll using #GoVerify by entering your name.
  • Filling out online registration forms for new voters or switching to a different constituency.
  • Track the status of complaints against Electoral Services and register them.
  • Common Questions about Voters, Elections, Electronic Voting Machines, and Results.
  • Voter Services & Resources & Electoral Officer Resources.
  • Locate each candidate’s biography, assets, income, and criminal history.
  • Campaign for Selfie: This time, the Selfie campaign has been launched to entice voters to cast ballots. ECI turned it into a major phenomenon by using the social media platform to raise awareness.
  • Campaign for the Elector Verification Programme (EVP) : Voters can use the Voter Helpline App to verify their information, tag their family members, and get input on polling places. To participate in the voters verification program, voters must link their mobile number.
  • The “Electors Verification Programme” asks voters to attach a family unit to a single polling station, replace their old, black-and-white photo with a color one, correct errors in their personal information, and verify themselves with an additional document.
  • Results of the General and Bye Elections, 2024.One of the most important aspects of this application was the first-ever display of the real-time outcome on the mobile device. Users were able to view the real results straight on their phones from any location. By scanning the EPIC card’s barcode, the user can also see the results of his or her constituency in real time.

Voters must launch the Voter HelpLine mobile app on their phone and log in using their cell number and OTP functionality in order to utilize the app’s functions.
