The 2024 Astor has been introduced by MG India in India, with new prices beginning at Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). There are now five variants of the updated Astor to choose from, including the new Sprint variant. 2024 MG Astor: What is new?
The Astor now has an improved i-Smart system with a new user interface and over 80 connected car functions as part of the model year update. However, it goes on with six choices for exterior colours.Other features include level 2 autonomy, a panoramic sunroof, a voice recognition system powered by Jio, a 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad, ventilated front seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, heated ORVMs, a driver seat with six settings, an electronic digital key enabled by Bluetooth, an auto-parking brake with auto-hold, hill hold assistance, six airbags, hill descent control, a personal AI assistant, ESP, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, auto-dimming IRVM, four-wheel disc brakes, PM 2.5 filter, and TPMS, among other features.
The MG Astor is a petrol-only SUV with two engine options: a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine with 110 horsepower and 144 Nm, or a 1.3-liter turbocharged engine with 140 horsepower and 220 Nm. The 1.3-liter engine is matched with a 6-speed AT, but the 1.5-liter engine can be combined with either a 6-speed MT or a CVT.Along with an upgraded i-Smart 2.0 with an advanced user interface, the MG Astor 2024 boasts features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple Car Play, and an auto-dimming IRVM. The base model of the small SUV costs Rs 7.99 lakh, while the top-of-the-line X-Line model costs Rs 15.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. There are 19 variants of the redesigned Sonet available, five of which are diesel manual options.
