Kerala has significantly contributed to India’s third-largest startup ecosystem in the world, according to Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who made the announcement on Saturday at an event held here. Speaking at the Fatima Mata National College graduation ceremony, Sitharaman stated Kerala has made significant contributions to India’s fintech industry as well.

As a prominent member of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and a prodigious talent in both economics and politics, Nirmala Sitharaman commands respect in India. On May 31, 2019, she became India’s first female finance minister, marking a historic achievement. Sitharaman’s journey to this pivotal role demonstrates her unwavering resolve, unwavering dedication, and illustrious career spanning both politics and academia.

Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, stated that young people should work to create Viksit Bharat by 2047. She was speaking to the students at the Fatima Mata National College in Kollam during their graduation ceremony. According to the Minister, young people are eager to advance India’s development. Youth should take advantage of the opportunities that are currently available to them and pursue skills based on their aptitude, she continued.

She then gave beneficiaries of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme at Mangalapuram Gramme Panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram gas stoves purchased under the PM Ujjwala Yojana.Additionally, the public was given calendars and informational pamphlets about Viksit Bharat by the Union Minister.She distributed checks to recipients of several central government programmes, such as the PM Employment Generation Programme, PM MUDRA Yojana, PM SVANidhi, Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme, and Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM).

The Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, informed the graduating students that “India 2047 is in your hands to build” because of all these opportunities and top-notch educational institutions.Smt. Sitharaman instructed the students to utilise the digital revolution by sifting through the deluge of information to find credible, trustworthy, and genuine sources. Additionally, the Minister urged the students to contribute positively to society. She claimed that combining patriotism and education would produce outstanding students who will make significant contributions to society.

During the event, Union Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman interacted with the students of Fatima Mata National College and awarded medals and certificates to deserving students. Prominent figures in attendance included Vice Chancellor of the University of Kerala Prof. Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Special Representative of the Kerala government in New Delhi, Prof. K. V. Thomas, and Shri N. K. Premachandran MP.Beneficiaries of several Central Government programmes, such as PM MUDRA Yojana, PM SVANidhi and Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation (SMAM), Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme, and PM Employment Generation Programme, received checks from her.

Later, at the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programme at the Mangalapuram Gramme Panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram, she gave beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana gas stoves.Additionally, the Viksit Bharat calendars and informational pamphlets were given out to the public by the Union Minister.
